In response to COVID-19, we recently surveyed our stakeholders regarding the return to school in August 2020. Many of the respondents indicated a desire for an online learning option rather than returning to an adjusted traditional school setting. As a result of your feedback, Lee County Schools will be offering virtual learning for all grades this school year in addition to the planned re-opening of schools. A brief description of the virtual learning plan can be found at www.lee.k12.al.us or you may call your local school for more information.
First student attendance day is scheduled for August 12, 2020.
Beulah Elementary School will be open daily this summer from 8:30-2:00 CST.
Effective June 1, all Lee County School campuses will reopen to the public. The current COVID pandemic has caused additional concerns and the need for greater infection control measures. You will notice some changes at our offices to help better protect you and our employees. Therefore, we are reopening with certain restrictions in place. Those restrictions include:
- Limit the number of visitors in the lobby. We ask that you call before you come to a school or district office. We encourage you to schedule an appointment to ensure your business may be addressed in an efficient manner and to minimize wait times.
- If you are sick, please do not enter any school or district office. Remain at home and call us to address your school business.
In the interest of public health and safety, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
- Wear a face covering upon entering a school or district office. Keep it on when in the lobby and hallways.
- Maintain social distancing. Keep at least six feet between yourself and others throughout the buildings.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our campuses.
