It’s College Application Week! FFA and Skills USA are offering an opportunity for a lucky Senior to win a $100 scholarship. To register for the chance to win, apply to any training program, technical school or college then stop by the Career Center and show verification to Mrs. Dyess or Mr. Miller. The drawing will be during 4th block on Friday. Any senior is eligible, so submit those applications and get to the Career Center to register!
FBLA Meeting - immediately after school today in Mrs. Johnson’s Room 112-Career Center. The meeting should last no longer than 30-45 minutes. Please bring your $10 dues at this time. If you would like a t-shirt the cost is an additional $17.00.
Students who wish to receive a flu shot must return the flu shot request form, signed by a parent or guardian to Nurse Ford by tomorrow.
There will be a mandatory meeting for Indoor and Outdoor Track athletes and parents on Nov. 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the Hungry Hive.
Fees for Advanced Placement classes are due November 5. You may pay on PayPams or with Mrs. Barge in the BlueGold Office.
The ASVAB test will be given November 16. Anyone interested in taking this test should sign up with Mrs. Spates.
It’s spooky season and the ghosts and goblins are out! But, we’re creepin’ it real this year in the BHS Library! Come check it out! Books about ghosts, mysteries and haunted themes!
Who can write the scariest story? BHS Library is having a SIX WORD STORY COMPETITION (yes, six words!) Write an original scary story in six words. Turn in your story to Coach McDonald by or before October 28. Be creative and illustrate it too! Winners will be announced on Friday, October 29.
The 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is upon us! Entry forms and fees are due by Wednesday October 27. Individual entry fee is $5. Group entry fee is $10. Join Google classroom code: xdk6tgh to sign up. Any BHS student, staff member or organization can participate. Voting will be Friday October 29.

FAFSA Workshops at SUSCC
Attention Seniors and Senior Parents: All seniors are being required to complete a Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) this year. You are encouraged to attend a FAFSA Workshop in order to better understand the process. FAFSA Workshops are being made available through Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) multiple times during the month of October. Please see the information on flyer below.
