Human Resources
The Lee County School System is in a continuous search for teachers, administrators, counselors, registered nurses and all support personnel positions. We are a school system of approximately 10,000 students in fourteen school sites. We enjoy some of the finest facilities in the state and have long been viewed as the school system with "A Tradition of Excellence - A Vision for Tomorrow".
We are seeking dedicated professional individuals to work with the Lee County School System. As a part of our commitment to unitary status with the federal courts, we are also committed to recruiting and employing minority teachers and administrators. We are also clearly soliciting diverse, qualified applicants for classified and support personnel positions.
Alabama school boards are required by state law to verify the employment eligibility of newly hired employees by using the federal E-Verify program. New employees are required to provide a Social Security number, an unexpired identity document that contains a photograph, and other acceptable documents that establish employment eligibility. In addition to determining whether a new hire is authorized to work in the United States, E-Verify will confirm that the employee’s name and Social Security number match. The U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a service for employees to check their own employment authorization status before going through the E-Verify process at a new job. The E-Verify Self Check gives new employees some additional time to correct any problems they find with their DHS or Social Security Administration records before employment begins. Self Check is located on the right side of the E-Verify web sitewww.uscis.gov/everify.
Inquiries concerning the Lee County Schools’ policies, compliance with applicable laws, statutes, and regulations, and complaints may be directed to the Director of Human Resources.
