I have been teaching at SSHS for 18 years now, and I love the community within our school. I have taught various English courses for 9-12 grade levels, but I currently teach AP Seminar, the elective Bible as Literature, and the elective Leadership. I love helping organize school spirit activities and other school events to create a fun, well-rounded high school experience for all of our kids.

My alma mater is Lanett High School. After graduating from there in 2002, I attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I earned a Bachelor's in Science in Secondary Education for English. 

I live a little bit of the country life in Lafayette, AL, with my husband Ben, our three kids (Sadie-Anne, Mason, & Cruz), and our four rescue dogs (Belle, Emmie, Lt. Dan, & Willow). Some of my favorite things are Jesus, Dr. Pepper, gummy bears, Alabama football, and the beach.
