I am the Junior Counselor and Building Test Coordinator here at Smiths Station High School. This is my 9th year at SSHS and my 31th year in education. My goal is to help students achieve academic success and graduate college and career-ready. I am a 1989 graduate of Oxford High School, and I received my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education Science and History from Jacksonville State University, where I cheered for 4 years. I received my Masters in School Counseling and Community Psychology from Troy University in 1998. I taught Science and History for 8 years before becoming a school counselor. I live in Smiths Station with my husband, Ricky (who was an SSHS graduate), our son, Brock, who also graduated from SSHS, and our Golden Retriever, Cooper. I love Auburn football, running, traveling, reading, paddleboarding, and enjoying time at the beach.
