As an alumni of Smiths Station High School and a lifelong member of the community, I am thrilled to be able to serve in the capacity of an assistant principal of Smiths Station High School.  My goal is to help students have a great high school experience and graduate college and career prepared.

I am a 1999 graduate of Smiths Station High School, and received my Bachelors in Secondary Education - Biology from Auburn University in 2002.  I received my Masters in Instructional Leadership from Troy University in 2011.  I taught Science at Wacoochee Junior High School/Smiths Station Junior High School for 11 years prior to being named assistant principal at the high school.  In addition to being SSHS assistant principal, I am also the coach of our E-Sports team.

I live in Smiths Station with my husband Gary (who is also an SSHS graduate), our 2 daughters, Kate, who attends Smiths Station Junior High, and Annabelle, who attends West Smiths Station Elementary, and our 2 cats, Tigger and Dwight.  In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family, bicycling, and playing video games.  I am a huge fan of all things Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Disney.
