As an alumnus of Smiths Station High School, I am thrilled to be able to serve in the capacity of assistant principal of Smiths Station High School.  My goal is to help students have a great high school experience and graduate college and career ready.

I am a 1999 graduate of Smiths Station High School, and received my Bachelor's in Secondary Education - Biology from Auburn University in 2002.  I received my Masters in Instructional Leadership from Troy University in 2011.  I taught Science at Wacoochee Junior High School/Smiths Station Junior High School for 11 years prior to being named assistant principal at the high school. This will be my 10th year as an Assistant Principal at SSHS.

I live in Salem with my husband Gary (who is also an SSHS graduate), our 2 daughters, Kate, who is in 11th grade at SSHS, and Annabelle, who attends West Smiths Station Elementary, our 3 cats, Tigger, Dwight, and Pepper, and a hamster named Hammy.  My favorite thing to do is travel with family.  I am a huge fan of all things Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney.
