Emma Whitlock

I am a 1999 graduate of Smiths Station High School, and received my Bachelor's in Secondary Education - Biology from Auburn University in 2002.  I received my Masters in Instructional Leadership from Troy University in 2011.  I taught Science at Wacoochee Junior High School/Smiths Station Junior High School for 11 years, and served as an assistant principal at SSHS for 11 years.  I'm very excited to be going back to the classroom to return to teaching science this year.

I live in Salem with my husband Gary (who is also an SSHS graduate), our 2 daughters, Kate, who is in 12th grade at SSHS, and Annabelle, who is in 7th grade at SSJH, our 3 cats, Tigger, Dwight, and Pepper, and a hamster named Hammy.  My favorite thing to do is travel with family.  I am a huge fan of all things Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney.
