Hi! I'm Jessica Zimmerman. I've taught 3rd and 5th grade in Lee County the last 11 years, and this is my first year as the building-based math coach at West. I am so excited to step into this role to support teachers in enhancing math instruction in their classrooms and fostering a positive learning environment for all of our students!

As a Smiths Station graduate, it is a pleasure to serve the same school system that I grew up in. I attended & graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University. WARRRR EAGLE! 

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 2 daughters. I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with my family, and reading books on my Kindle.

I love being able to share my love for learning & passion for math in the classroom! In school, I was always successful in math--but I didn’t truly understand math until I started teaching! It’s an amazing experience to go from following rules to truly understanding why things work the way they do! I am excited to keep learning and growing with our teachers and students!
