  • The Harvey Rogers Memorial Scholarship was funded by Mr. Harvey Rogers who lived within our community for many years.  Education was very important to Mr. Rogers and he wanted to give back to students that may not otherwise receive any help in obtaining an education.  Mr. Rogers  children would like to continue the tradition that their father started many years ago.  Students who apply should not have received any other scholarship award.  Interested parties please see Mrs. DeLucca in the guidance office for an application.  You do have to attach a copy of your acceptance letter along with your application.  The scholarship applications are due to Mrs. DeLucca no later than March 1, 2019.

  • The College Counts Scholarship is now open for applicants.  You must be a high school senior, have a minimum GPA of a 2.75, have a maximum ACT score of a 26, be a U. S. Citizen and an Alabama resident, planning to enroll in an Alabama eligible school for the fall of 2019 and demonstrate financial need.  For more information or to apply, visit treasury.alabama.gov/collegecounts-scholarship .  The application deadline is February 28, 2019.

  • Each year Kinetic Credit Union presents the Ronald J. Mahoney Kinetic Scholarship to a deserving high school senior.  This scholarship honors Kinetic Credit Union who has established a reputation of excellence and exceptional service to the members and the community and to Ronald J. Mahoney who dedicated a part of his life to serve the needs of Kinetic Credit Union.  Mr. Mahoney was committed to excellence and service as demonstrated by his dedication to our credit union and community projects. 

     Kinetic will present two $2,500 scholarships to the students who best demonstrate the same commitment to excellence and service in his or her academic studies, service and involvement in the community.

    Scholarship Requirements are as follows:

    • Applicant must be a member of Kinetic Credit Union.
    • Applicant must be a graduating senior from high school in the spring of the year of the scholarship.
    • Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
    • In order to be considered for this scholarship, the applicant must submit a complete application package.  A complete application package consists of:
      1. The application (Please be sure to read the application carefully, complete all sections and sign it.)
      2. Copy of your most current high school transcript
      3. Copy of your acceptance letter to the college, university or technical school you will attend.
      4. A recommendation letter from:Your Principal and Your Counselor and A Community Leader (Could be your minister or supervisor from a community project you have participated in.)

  • The Alabama Agribusiness Council Foundation Scholarhsip was created to provide students enrolled in a four-year institution located within the state of Alabama majoring in a field of study that will prepare the student for a career in agriculture or agribusiness with financial assistance to help support their study.  The scholarhsip amount is in the amount of $1000 and will be awarded in the student's honor to the University upon proof of enrollment.  Applicants must have exhibited an interest in pursuing a career in agriculture or agribusiness, they should be accepted / enrolled in a four-year institutuin in the state of Alabama, they should be majoring in a field directly related to the study of agriculture or agribusiness, they should have a GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and they must be a resident of Alabama.  Applications can be obtained int he Guidance Office.  Deadline for consideration in March 31, 2019.

  • Applications are now available for the Mu Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Scholarship.  To be eligible you must be an African-American Male or Female, be a graduating senior. a Lee County resident, have a minimum GPA of a 3.0 and have a minimum ACT score of an 18.  You must complete and application, 2 letters of recommendation, an official sealed transcript, a resume, a copy of your acceptance letter to college and a typed Essay on a provided topic.  Applications may be obtained in the Guidance Office!  All Acholarship Packets must be postmarked by March 8, 2019.

  • Mesothelioma Help Cancer scholarship for 2019 is now available.  Interested applicants must write an essay in response to one of the following prompts:

    1. Share your personal story dealing with asbestos disease or cancer. Talk about how it affected your life and how/whether it impacted your education/career choice. 2. What do you hope to do with the education you are receiving to help cancer patients? This scholarship is a great one for students interested in a medical career. There will be 4 prizes, ranging from $2500 for first place to $500 for fourth place.   • The Tuskegee University Alumni Club (Lee County Chapter) scholarship application is now available in the guidance office.  The applicant must have a minimum GPA of a 2.5, two letters of recommendation, provide an acceptance letter to Tuskegee University and attach an official high school transcript to the application.  The application deadline is March 19, 2019.

  • Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity , Inc. Delta Iota Lambda Chapter & Alpha Onward & Upward Foundation Inc.  2019 Scholarship Application Packet is now available in the guidance office.  The applicant will need 3 letters of recommendation, an official high school transcript, a resume , an essay and a 2x2 passport sized photo to accompany the application.  The application deadline is March 29, 2019.  Selections will be based on academic potential, community service, leadership ability and the student will have a personal interview with the scholarship committee.

  • The Lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity scholarship application is now available.  Interested students should be nominated by a counselor, teacher or any member of the Lambda Iota Chapter that is in good standing.All nominations must be postmarked and mailed to the scholarship committee on or before April 1, 2019.  Eligible students are any graduating senior that  demonstrates leadership characteristics, has high scholastic achievement, has a good citizenship record and is involved in extracurricular activities.  There is an essay requirement of not more than 500 words.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

  • The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is awarding scholarships to graduating seniors in Lee and Russell County High Schools.  The appliction requirements are as follows:  Must be a graduating Senior from Beauregard, Beulah, Central, Loachapoka, Russell County or Smiths Station High School.  Must have a GPA of a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, Must demonstrate communtiy involvement, must enroll in a year year accredited college/university for the Fall of 2019.  Applications are available in the guidance office. There is a requirement for 2 letters of recommendation and a 200 word response to 4 questions that is also included in the application package.  Deadline to apply is March 31, 2019 (no exceptions)!  Pick up the application prior to Spring Break due to the deadline falling during Spring Break for Smiths Station High School this year!

  • The Junior League of Columbus is pleased to announce the availability of the Teens Who Care scholarship. The scholarship is open to any high school senior in Columbus, GA and the surrounding areas who has demonstrated a commitment to community service.

     

    The League is excited to award three $1,000 scholarships this year.

  • MG Law Office is offering a great scholarship opportunity that we want to be sure that your students are aware of and have the opportunity to apply for. The scholarship is available for high school seniors as well as any student pursuing a higher education. The scholarship application is creative and different than most that your students are likely filling out. We are asking that they create a 45-60 second video advertisement on the dangers of drunk driving. The winning ad will be selected based on quality, usability, effectiveness, creativity, and helpfulness to warn people about the dangers of drunk driving.   • McDonald's located in Auburn, Opelika, and Tuskegee are offering a total of $7000 in scholarships to local high school seniors for the 18-19 school year.   Students that are interested in applying should see Mrs. DeLucca in the guidance office.  7 winners will be selected from the surrounding area high schools.  You will have to submit a transcript along with the application as well as a one page typed statement about future plans and why financial assistance is needed.  Applications are due back to the guidance office by March 15, 2019.  Applications will be mailed back to the cooperation on March 15, 2019 for consideration.

This scholarship is to show students that there are people who understand all that they have to do to get an education. The scholarship is worth $1000 and only requires a 500-word essay on a specific topic to apply. Please find all details below.
