Health Services
The Lee County Board of Education Health Services Mission is to provide quality health services and education to the students of Lee County so that optimal learning can occur. Health Services plays a comprehensive role within the school setting, to support the physical, mental, emotional and social health of students and their success in the learning process (National Association of School Nurses).
The major function of Health Services is to provide quality comprehensive nursing care to students. School nurses assist in providing health education to our students, parents and faculty.
Lee County Board of Education has 17 Registered Nurses and 2 Licensed Practical Nurses employed in the system. Health Services is under the supervision of Lead Nurse, Mrs. Jessica Richardson.
Social Services work in conjunction with Health Services. The goal of this program is to address the environmental/social factors that put students at risk for not experiencing school success. Social Services is under the supervision of Lauren Penton, School Based Social Worker.
