Hello 5th graders and parents! I have been a teacher since 2008. I have taught K-12 General Music, 6th grade Social Studies and Science, and am currently teaching 5th grade Math. 

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Auburn University in 2008. I moved to East Tennessee in 2010 and taught music there for one year. The following year, I moved back home to Alabama, became engaged in 2012, and then married in 2013. I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University in 2016, which has led to me to where I am today. My husband and I have 3 children, and we live nearby in Smiths Station. I enjoy singing with the praise band at our church, crafting, and making memories with my family. 

I am passionate about teaching, and helping my students to thrive and grow gives me joy and purpose. I am excited about what the future has in store for us at ESSES!
