Superintendent's Office
I am excited about joining the Lee County School system, and serving as the Superintendent of Education. I have been an educator for over 23 years and served in various capacities during that time. Prior to arriving in Lee County, I served as Superintendent of Education for the Jacksonville City School System and the St. Clair County School System. Prior to that, I served as a high school Principal, Assistant Principal, special education teacher, and coach. During my coaching career, I coached multiple sports, with my primary sports being football, softball, golf, and track.
I hold a Doctorate from the University of West Alabama, an Educational Specialist degree from UAB, two masters from UAB and American Intercontinental University, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama. My favorite quote that inspires my work ethic is, “you can’t always control your circumstances, but you can always control your effort and attitude.”
I am married to my wonderful wife, Melanie, and have two children, Logan, age 18, and Ava, age 16. During my free time I enjoy golfing.
