Mrs. Jill Taunton

I was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama. I graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City in 1999. I have an Associate's Degree from Central Alabama Community College in 2001. I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2003.

I have been teaching first grade at Beauregard Elementary School since 2015. Before teaching first grade, I taught fourth grade for one year at Beauregard Elementary School. I have been teaching in Lee County since 2005. During the first nine years, I taught fourth grade at Smiths Station Intermediate School and West Smiths Station Elementary School. Before teaching in Lee County, I taught second grade for two years at Central Elementary School in Coosa County.

I am married to Blake, a graduate of Beauregard High School and Auburn University, and he is a Lieutenant for the Auburn Fire Department. We have two sons, Brady and Jack, and a daughter, Josie. We have a yellow Labrador Retriever named Buck. We are members of Cornerstone Methodist Church in Auburn. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, spending time with family, boating on Lake Martin, and traveling. I am an Auburn graduate and a big fan of the Tigers! War Eagle!
