My name is Kelsie Hughes, and I teach Social Studies. This year, I am teaching Government and Sociology. The 24-25 school year will be my 8th year teaching at SSHS. I graduated from SSHS in 2011, and I love being back at home. I am a graduate of Columbus State University in 2017 with a BA in history and secondary education, along with a certificate in international studies. I studied abroad in Ecuador and Belize and had the privilege to teach at charity schools and an international academy along the way. I then earned a master's degree in history and secondary education from the University of West Alabama in 2020, and an EdS in teacher leadership in 2022.
