Mr. Hunter Ames
I began my career in teaching at Smiths Station High School in December of 2002. I taught for 11 1/2 years before moving away. At the high school, I taught 9th grade English, journalism, and PNN. I taught at Horseshoe Bend School for 1/2 a year and at Lanett Jr. High School for two years. This is will be my 17th year as a teacher and 3rd year at SSFC. I will be teaching Regular English and CP English this school year.
I have been married to my incredibly awesome wife for 17 years. We have three children ages 12, 10, and 3. In addition to teaching, I also have a small business and I coach baseball.
I attended Georgia Perimeter College in Clarkston, GA for my Associate of Science Degree. I finished my undergraduate degree at Faulkner University in Montgomery. I also attended Troy University in Phenix City, AL where I earned my Master's in Educational Leadership.
