• Welcome to Smiths Station High School!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to lead the high school of this amazing community.  I have been in many school systems in my career, but there are none that I have experienced that have the level of community support as this area.  I began my teaching career at Opelika High School in 2001.  I then became an assistant principal in Chambers County for 2 years before transitioning to Smiths Station.  in 2008, I was hired as one of four assistant principals at Smiths Station High School.  In 2010, I was hired as the Principal at Greenville High School.  A year later, the Freshman Center opened up and I quickly came back to be in Lee County Schools.

During my time as Principal of Smiths Station Freshman Center, we were focused on making learning better for students, parents, and teachers.  I will bring the same philosophy to Smiths Station High School.  Even though we have amazing educators in this building, we will always strive for improvement through communication, reflective practices, and collaboration.

Family is the most important thing to me, whether it is my wife (Genesee) and three daughters (Emilee, Sydnee, and Marlee), your children, or the family that I work with.  I believe this community holds many of these same values which is what brought me back to Smiths Station.  With us all working together, these students can achieve unimaginable heights!

    Go Panthers!
