 Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s),

Hello, my name is Mrs. Peterson.  This school year, I will have the pleasure of working with your child in my 12th-grade British Literature English classroom.  I believe that all students can learn, and it is my job to ensure they have opportunities to excel.

Teaching English is my chosen profession because I enjoy teaching the material, making it come alive, and watching the students grow.  I will implement a series of rigorous activities and units designed specifically for your child's needs in language arts, and I expect this school year to be a positive experience.   My ultimate goal is for your child to accomplish achievement and growth.
