Mr. Kelly Tubbs

Hello everyone and welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year at Beauregard High School!  This will be the start of my 7th year here at BHS, and I look forward to what lies ahead for the 2024-2025 school year.  I will be teaching 2 classes this year: US History 2 (1900-present day) and Sports Officiating.  History has always been a passion of mine because I like to see where we have come from and how past decisions have shaped our present.  I am a firm believer in classroom discussions, and regularly compare modern-day events with those of the past.  It will be a challenging class, but a very informative one!  Sports Officiating is a new elective that was created last year.  The purpose of this class is to teach students the rules and regulations of various sports and the process of how to become a certified sports official.  Students who are certified, through an outside website, have the opportunity to officiate their favorite sport and make money (they have to be a member of an organization, however).  The sports we will cover are, but not limited to: RUGBY, VOLLEYBALL, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, WRESTLING, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, SOCCER, and a mixture of various other world sports.  I look forward to having your student in either or both of my classes this year.  If you have any questions, call 334-705-6010 ext. 10971 OR email tubbs.kelly@lee.k12.al.us.

Respectfully,

Coach Kelly Tubbs
