E-Sports is an officially sanctioned sport by the Alabama High School Athletic Association beginning in 2019.

Smiths Station High School participates in Alabama's PlayVs League of Legends Tournament.  We have two teams that compete on Tuesdays against other schools in the virtual environment.

League of Legends is a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer online battle arena game with the world’s largest gaming community. The game requires critical thinking and teamwork, where each player must support one another to succeed. Teams of five compete head-to-head across multiple maps and game modes.
