Ms. Payton Harland
Hi! My name is Payton Harland, and I grew up in Hoover, Alabama. I graduated from Auburn University in December of 2018. There I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. While working towards my degree, I fell in love with the Lee County/Auburn area.
Teaching special education has always been my dream. It brings me so much joy to watch students grow academically, and socially alongside their peers. I am passionate about teaching a strong work ethic in my classroom, and striving to reach one's potential. I strive to incorporate engaging strategies, and provide students with hands-on learning. I believe social skills should be incorporated into every part of the day, and traits such as respect, honesty, and work ethic will be just as beneficial to students as the curriculum they are taught.
I have a passion for working with young children and look forward to watching your children learn and grow. I encourage active communication between parents and myself, so please don't hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns you might have. I look forward to a great year!
