Mrs. Youngblood

I am thrilled to be teaching my 2nd grade friends as we embark on a new school year at South Smiths Station Elementary. I reared five wonderful children and grew up in South Georgia. After moving here 13 years ago, I fell in love with this community. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and traveling to new places.  I also enjoy reading, shopping, anything outdoors, and cheering on my Georgia Bulldogs! (GO DAWGS!!) Participation in church and various volunteer work is also very important to me.

I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) and am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Phi Delta Kappa National Teachers Society Troy Alum. This year marks my seventh year at South Smiths Station Elementary School. 

I am passionate about being a great educator and ensuring every child's voice is heard while meeting their needs. The elementary years are such an exciting time in every child's life, and it is a true blessing to contribute to your child's educational journey. My goal is to create life-long learners, by promoting higher order thinking skills, while making learning fun and enjoyable for everyone.

I am looking forward to working with each of my students and their families this year. I love children and promise to love and cherish your little ones just as you do!
