Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Mrs. Youngblood and I am super excited about teaching my 2nd grade friends as we embark on this school year at South Smiths Station Elementary. I reared five beautiful children and grew up in South Georgia. I fell in love with Smiths Station after moving here nine years ago. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and traveling to new places. I also enjoy reading, shopping, and cheering on my Georgia Bulldogs! (GO DAWGS) Participation in church and various volunteer work is very important to me.
I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education K-6. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Phi Delta Kappa National Teachers Society Troy Alum. This will be my third year working at South Smiths Station Elementary School, and my first year as a Kindergarten teacher.
I hold a strong passion to be a great educator and make sure every child's voice is heard while meeting their needs. Kindergarten is such an exciting time in every child's life, and it is truly a blessing to be allowed to contribute to your child's educational journey.
My goal is to create life-long learners, promoting higher order thinking skills, while making learning fun and enjoyable for everyone. Therefore, I am looking forward to working with each of my students and their families this year.
I love children and promise to love and cherish your babies right along with you!
