Work Based Learning Coordinator: This class provides students with educational opportunities that typically cannot be replicated in the classroom.  WBL is a major component of career and technical education.  Improved skills lead to higher efficiency and availability of a better-trained labor pool that encourages business growth and productivity.  Well-managed work-based learning experiences build confidence in the school system and have benefits for the student, employer, mentor, school, and community.  Students receive one credit per period that they are in the WBL program.  Prerequisite: (SENIORS ONLY) Students must complete two career tech. courses in a career pathway to be considered for WBL.  Discipline, attendance and grades will also be a deciding factor for acceptance into the program.

ACCESS Facilitator: This is a distance learning class with the Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide.  ACCESS provides equal access to high quality instruction and a wide range of course options.  ACCESS is having a positive impact on students throughout Alabama.  This program brings a variety of core classes and elective courses to students in all areas of the state.  ACCESS is an excellent option for students who have interests in elective courses that may not be offered at their school. Please contact the counselor, Mrs. Robbins, if you are interested in this program.

Credit Recovery Instructor: This class is an option for students who have failed one or more courses and need to be on track for graduation.  Admission into this class is determined by the counselor.

I am a third generation graduate of Beauregard High and I have lived in this community my entire life.  Teaching is a second career for me.  Prior to teaching I worked at East Alabama Internal Medicine as office manager.  While attending high school and college I always worked part-time.  I believe that my work experience is as valuable as my education which is why I chose this career path.

I am a life-long member of Providence Baptist Church.  I am married to Mike Spates.  Our favorite thing to do is cook and entertain family and friends at "The Barn".
