Hi everyone!  I am excited about another school year at BES!  2024-2025 will be my 19th year of teaching sixth grade math.  I previously taught sixth grade in Chambers County for 14 years, and this is my fifth year teaching sixth grade at BES.  My husband Zach and I have four kids (well... one is a grown up now), Carter, who is currently serving in the Army as an airborne infantryman and stationed at JBER in Anchorage, AK, Will, a junior at BHS, Owen, a sophomore at BHS, and Sarah, a 7th grader at BES.  We have a beloved beagle named June. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with family and friends in their activities, attending church and helping lead youth, playing piano and guitar and singing, relaxing outdoors at the lake and/or beach, watching movies and my favorite series, riding bikes and jogging, and reading when I have the chance. 

I still love school!! I recently completed my NISE certification, and one goal of mine this year is to work towards another graduate degree and to continue pursuing National Board certification.  I love to encourage students to become lifetime learners and to help them along the way to becoming successful in their own talents and dreams.  

I am looking forward to working with students and their families and together seeing what adventures this school year will bring! Go Bobcats!!
