Welcome!

My name is Mary-Elizabeth Youssefi. I am the Speech-Language Therapist and the Special Education Department Head for Wacoochee Elementary School.  I attended Auburn University for my education and training for both my Bachelor and Master's degrees. I began my career at Lee County Schools in 2015 and have loved every minute of it! I work with students ages 3-12 who have articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.

In my spare time, I enjoy cheering on the Auburn Tigers basketball and women's gymnastics teams, reading suspenseful thrillers, watercolor painting, and going on adventures with my husband, Alex, and our two fur children, Teddy and Sadie.  

I am passionate about speech therapy and strive to make each session exciting and engaging to all learners. I love working with children, and I am so fortunate to help them become better communicators every day!
