Hunter Ames

Hunter Ames is an educator with 21 years of experience, specializing in various aspects of television production, including introductory courses, photography and editing, writing, production, performance, and studio operations. His professional background includes teaching English, Journalism, and TV Production at Smiths Station High from 2002 to 2014, followed by a year at Horseshoe Bend School, and then at Lanett Jr High School until 2017. He returned to Smiths Station Freshman Center to teach English and TV Production until 2020, and he currently teaches TV Production at Smiths Station High School. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Ames has coached multiple sports, serving as the Head Coach for Lanett Baseball and overseeing football film from 2015 to 2020, while also coaching Jr High and JV Boys Cross Country and Track & Field events from 2020 to 2024. He has also held the position of Freshman Boys Basketball Head Coach in 2021 and currently serves as the advisor for the PNN club. All three of his children attend school in Smiths Station.
