My name is Ashley Bledsoe, and I am elated to be serving as the assistant principal of South SSES! I grew up in the small town of LaFayette, AL and graduated from LaFayette High School. I went on to attend Auburn University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Early Childhood Education. Shortly after completing undergrad, I accepted a job at Morris Avenue Intermediate school in Opelika, AL and taught third grade for four years. During my tenure with Opelika City Schools, I attended Troy University in Phenix City and earned my Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in School Counseling. I began my school counseling career immediately after obtaining my degree and was fortunate enough to spend a year working as an elementary counselor with Lanett City Schools and three years working as a high school counselor with Chambers County Schools. While in Chambers County, I continued my education at Troy University in Phenix City and completed a Class A certification and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Instructional Leadership and Administration. Previously, I worked as a middle school assistant principal before becoming the assistant principal at South SSES. Elementary school is where our students receive a firm educational foundation, and I am ecstatic to be a part of the most important years of OUR students' lives! Go, Panthers!
