Mrs. Debra Teague
Hi, I am the new PreK Teacher at Loachapoka Elementary School in Auburn, AL. I have been a certified educator for 28 years. I was born and raised in Opelika and attended Lee County Schools from 1st grade to 6th grade at Beauregard Elementary and Sanford Middle. Then I transferred to Opelika City Schools in 7th grade and attended Opelika Junior High and graduated from Opelika High School in 1989. After highschool I earned my AS at Southern Union State Community College and transferred to Auburn University where I earned my BS in Early Childhood Education in 1994. I have taught grades PreK, Kindergarten, First, and Second. I have also been a temp. ESL Teacher, worked as a Reading Support Aide, an In-class Support Aide for SpEd, and a long-term substitute. I taught or worked with grades PreK to 8th in 5 states and around 18 schools. I am also a certified Learn to Roller Skate Instructor with the Roller Skating Association. I love to shuffle skate and in my spare time I attend 80's Reunion Skates in the SE Region. My family and I reside in Auburn. My daughter Bethany is in 9th grade at Lee-Scott Academy and enjoys playing travel softball for the Auburn Wildcats and the LSA Lady Warriors. My son Grayson is a sophmore in College and attends both Auburn University and Southern Union State Community College where he earned The Presidential Academic Scholarship and is pursuing an Accounting Degree through AU's Path to the Plains Program. My husband is a Special Agent with the US Secret Service and has relocated our family to the states of NC, VA, GA, VA, and TX before settling in Auburn where I grew up. I am glad to be back home near my family and look forward to teaching your precious 4 year old this year. I appreciate all parent support and at home efforts. Sincerely, Mrs. Debra Teague
