Hello! My Name Is Jacque Burkhalter and I am grateful to be part of the South Smith Station Elementary Team.

I am a Chilton County native where I grew up on a small family farm. For four years, I taught 5th grade Math, Science and Social Studies in my hometown. I received My B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University at Montgomery, my M.S. in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama and completed the requirements for my Library Media Specialist Certificate from the University of South Alabama. This is my second year as a Library Media Specialist and am grateful to be on the SSSES team and part of the Smiths Station community.
