Hello! My name is Stephen Barnes, and I am thrilled to be at Smiths Station High School. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with students, parents, and the administration to elevate Smiths Station to one of the premier high schools in the state. Hailing from the Lee/Macon County region, I graduated from Notasulga High School in Notasulga, AL, and earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Troy University. In addition to teaching 10th and 11th grades, I serve as an assistant coach for the SSJH football team. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, fishing, and following Auburn University football and Atlanta Braves baseball. I look forward to meeting many new faces at Panther Stadium on Friday nights and wish everyone the best for the upcoming school year.
