Dr. Luis Munoz

I am Dr. Muñoz, often referred to as Dr. M by my students. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, I relocated to the United States in 2008 on a scholarship to pursue music studies, specifically piano, at Columbus State University in Georgia. My journey has taken me through various states, including Georgia, Alabama, New Orleans, and Virginia, and I currently reside in Phenix City with my family. My academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Theology from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, obtained in 2020, as well as a Master of Theology and a Master of Arts, both earned in 2017 from the same institution. Additionally, I hold a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, completed in 2014, and both a Master of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbus State University, awarded in 2010 and 2012. I am the proud father of four sons—William, Alex, Nathan, and Dominic—and I am married to Mrs. Holly Munoz. Currently, I am in my second year of teaching at Smiths Station High School, while also serving as an adjunct instructor at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Leavell College. Prior to this, I taught at Eufaula High School in Alabama from 2021 to 2023. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I serve as a bi-vocational pastor, actively engaging in various roles within the church, including preaching, leading worship, and ministering to youth. I welcome inquiries about my church and would be delighted to share more about it.
