Raised in Phenix City, Alabama, Mr. Sanders grew up playing junior golf in Alabama and Georgia. Working as an assistant club pro at a local golf course, he graduated with degrees in Sports and Fitness Management, along with Elementary Education from Troy University. After many years as the assistant club pro, he began his coaching career at Central High School for boys/girls golf, where he coached 7A golf for 10 years. He was also a middle school math teacher during that time. He met his current wife during this time, and is blessed with 4 children.
He has military affiliation with his grandfather, who has retired from the military, along with his step father being retired as a US Army Major. His mother was a military child. She was born in Germany and moved all over, living in numerous countries. Mr. Sanders is currently serving as our assistant principal here at Wacoochee Elementary School.
