My name is Daulton Drew, and I am excited to be teaching 10th-grade Algebra I here at Smiths Station. I previously taught 6th-grade math at Creekside School in Harris County and 11th-grade Algebra II at Chattahoochee County High School. This will be my 4th year teaching overall. I coached youth football for many years as well as high school football for a season at Calvary Christian School and, more recently, at Harris County High School. I will be coaching football at the middle school this year as well as softball. I graduated with a degree in education from Columbus State University. My wife, Sarah, is also a teacher who works at Park Elementary in Harris County. I was born and raised in the area and lived in Phenix City most of my life. Sarah and I moved to Smiths Station from Columbus two years ago and had a baby girl, Emilia, who just turned 1 this summer. I love teaching math; and although it is typically among students' least favorite subjects, I have high expectations for the students in my class paired with a desire to see them improve and grow as a student and as a person.
