Ms. Kristen Blackshear

Ms. Blackshear is a native of Phenix City, AL. She has 32 years of experience teaching social studies courses in public and private schools, as well as serving as an adjunct instructor at Chattahoochee Valley Community College and Southern Union State Community College. This is her first year at Beauregard. She will be teaching Dual Enrollment History and 10th grade U.S. History. 

Ms. Blackshear obtained her Bachelor's degree in Social Science Education from Troy University in 1992. She began her career in Phenix City Schools in 1992. While teaching at South Girard Junior High School, she completed her Master’s Degree in Social Science Education at Columbus State University in 1997.  She continued to teach at Central High School until 2013. After twenty-one years in Phenix City Schools, she moved to Glenwood School in Smiths Station, Alabama, and taught there until 2024. 

In her spare time, Ms. Blackshear enjoys working on home improvement projects and reading. She also enjoys traveling with family and friends.
