My name is Dana Howell and I am a Fourth Grade Science and Social Studies teacher at Beulah Elementary. I am originally from San Diego, CA and joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduating high school. I spent just short of 8 years in the military where I was stationed in Germany, South Korea, and Washington, D.C. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice while serving. After separating from the military, I began a career in law enforcement and simultaneously enrolled into a Master of Business Administration program. I completed my graduate degree and worked full-time in law enforcement for 19 years. This is not only my first year at Beulah Elementary but my first year in elementary education. I remain an active certified police officer with the LaFayette Police Department. I live with my wife (also an elementary educator) and three school-aged sons. My biggest interest is football and my new hobby is being with my students!
