M.Ed. Early Childhood and Elementary Special Education B.S. Communication Disorders
Mrs. Sarah Sullivan
My name is Sarah Sullivan, and I am a Special Education Preschool teacher at East Smiths Station Elementary serving students ages 3 to 5. I also serve as the Special Education Department Co-Chair here at ESSES. This is my 6th year in pre-k, and I was previously a Speech Therapist at ESSES for 4 years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Communication disorders from Auburn University in 2014 and began working at East in August 2014. I received my Masters of Education in both Early Childhood (birth to 5) and Elementary (K-6) education from Auburn University in 2018. War Eagle! My pre-k class consists of students receiving special education services as well as typically developing peer models. I absolutely love working with pre-k age children and seeing my students' growth each day.
I also enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and two dogs where we live in Opelika.
I would like to see all of my students succeed this year and become more independent and truly believe in their self-worth. I would like to not only focus on affirmations for my students, but would like to see them truly believe in these.
