Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jamie Clay
I graduated from The University of Memphis and married my husband in 1983. We moved to Auburn for my husband to further his education and begin my teaching career. I have been with Lee County School System for 33 years. The past 31 years I have been with Smiths Station Elementary teaching 2nd grade. Teaching has always been my passion, and I am honored to be part of the Lee County School Family. My husband is a Civil Engineer/ Surveyor with a firm in Montgomery. We have two sons. Our oldest son graduated from Smiths Station High School, Auburn University, UAB Medical School, and The University of Florida. He is an Orthopedic Surgeon and is currently doing a fellowship in Sports Medicine in Birmingham. Brad is married to a teacher, has a 2 year old daughter, and they are expecting another baby in October. Our youngest son graduated from Smiths Station High School, attended junior college at Bevill State on a baseball scholarship, and graduated with a Business degree from The University of Alabama. He and his wife live in Greenville, South Carolina. Wes is a Project Manager for an Engineering/Construction firm and his wife is a Physician Assistant. Our greatest joys are our sons & daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, and Auburn Football.
