Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Ashley Price
Hello! I am Mrs. Price and I teach Kindergarten at East Smiths Station. I began teaching kindegarten in 2011. This will be my eigth year teaching kindergarten. Kindergarten is my passion. You see the most growth in these little babies. They have a spirit about them that lights up the room. Their excitement and curiosity challenges us to be better. Kids are a lot smarter than we think they are and if we just channel their inner student and find out their strengths they will do more than you could ever imagine.
I got my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at Auburn University and my Master's at Auburn University. I am a huge Auburn fan! My family and I attend every Auburn sporting event together. I have 2 babies, Luke is 3 and Annie Grace will be 2 in October. Being a mom is one of my greatest accomplishments. It has made me a better teacher and a better person.
Teaching young children comes with its own set of challenges. We are their home away from home so it is my job to make them feel safe. I want your child to know that they are loved. My classroom is a place where they can play, learn, grow, experiment with new things, challenge their brains to do more than they thought they could. One of the biggest things with having children is working with them. They need as much support as you can give them. It is just as important for them to work at home with you as it is for them to work with meat school. This means making sure they do their homework every night, practicing appropriate social skills, making sure they are prepared for the school year, etc. They need to know their expectations and they need to know that their teacher and their parents are on the same page.
I am very much looking forward to the new school year. It will be exciting to watch your babies grow and accomplish all that they will. I look forward to a great year!
