I grew up outside of Denver, Colorado, and resided there until 1987. At that time I became involved in the commerical seafood industry managing a wholesale-retail processing plant and distributorship. After several years I opted to attend college and, after two years in Florida colleges, I wound up in Auburn for their world class warm water Aquaculture Production and Fisheries Management program. I completed 2 degrees (BSc, MSc), was on staff at the Auburn University Marine Extension and Research Center for nearly two years, and returned to Auburn for yet another graduate degree. 

I am entering my 18th year with Lee County Schools and 23rd year in the field of education.

I am teaching Honors Biology (2 courses), General Biology, Advanced Placement Biology and Anatomy this year.

I have been married to Susan Pavek for over 29 years and have two children - Jessica, 36, an Engineer and Jake, 24, an MBA candidate at Auburn.
