Hi!

I'm a 6th-grade math teacher here at Sanford Middle School. I begin my 18th year here, but my 23rd year in education.    

I was born and raised in the great state of Maine. I graduated from Lawrence High School and went on to further my education at the University of Maine at Farmington, where I earned my B.S. degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, I began teaching at Benton Elementary, where I taught for three years.

I left Maine in 2003 when my husband came down on orders for Ft. Riley, Kansas. I had the pleasure of teaching 5th grade while there. We enjoyed our time in Kansas, but duty called, and headed to New Jersey in 2005. Our time there was short-lived, but I was able to teach a sweet kindergarten class before packing up and heading to Alabama.  It seems impossible, but we have been in Alabama for 18 years. This is home.  

My husband and I have been able to raise our two handsome sons, Ethan and Brayden, here. On a baseball scholarship, Ethan is a junior at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Brayden will also be attending Emmanuel University this year on a baseball scholarship. We all stay very busy with baseball.
