• Welcome to Smiths Station Junior High School!

     

    These are your most important years. You will either continue what you are doing right, or work to correct wrong choices made. These are your foundational years – our classes introduce concepts that will be critical for future success all toward the earned diploma.

     The SSJHS staff wants you to be successful. We know that these are a challenging years - Math has letters and shapes, English has textual evidence, Science has experiments, History has collaborative projects, Civics is preparing you for the required exam senior year,  the computer sciences have the practical life skills of responsible digital literacy, Agriscience has power tools, Art has a comprehensive exhibition, and Foreign Language is, well, foreign. Balancing school, activities, and personal needs will be practiced. New friends will be met.

     SSJHS, your family, and YOU (the student) need to work together for success. Keep the lines of communication open, keep a positive attitude, attend school every day, complete assignments – you will soon see many successes from your work.
