Mr. Kenneth C Skinner

I have lived most of my life in the Columbus, Phenix City, and Smiths areas most of my life. Graduated from Glenwood High School in 1980. Joined the National Guard in 1982 and married Leane Barnes in 1984. Graduated from Troy University with a B.S. in Business and worked in the lending business for 14 years. I have four children; and seven grandchildren; Dalton, and Kate Blake and the Laceys' children; Ella and Mckinley, Eric and Britleighs' children; Pressley, Parker, and Barrett Kalyn and' Camerons' children.

Blake, my oldest, graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in MIS and from CSU with an M.S. in Computer Science. He is married to Lacey Greene Skinner and he now owns a computer programming business called Sharpcove. Eric graduated from Columbus State University in  Exercise Science. He also graduated from West Alabama with a masters' degree in P.E and is currently a PE teacher. He also coaches Varsity Baseball and Junior High football. Kalyn is a 2008 graduate of Smiths Station and is a Nurse Practitioner at Pennacle Cardiology. Kalyn graduated from Southern Unions RN program, and has a BSN from Auburn University Montgomery. She also has a Nurse Practitioner degree from Auburn University. She is married to Cameron Hunt. Marc is a 2013 graduate of Smiths Station, and a graduate of Troy State University where he played baseball on scholarship. Marc currently works at Smith Station Freshman Center in the Career Prep Department, and has an M.Ed in Business Education from Auburn University. I am thankful that I am still married to Leane Barnes Skinner who is a Full Professor at Auburn University. We have been married for 39 years. In December 2007, I graduated with a Master's Degree in technology from CSU in Columbus, Georgia, and I have an M.ED in Business Education from Auburn University. I have been teaching for 22 years, most of them in Lee County. In May 2013, I earned my AA certification from Auburn in the Business Education area.

Also, I was a baseball, basketball, and football coach from 2001 to 2014 here in Lee county and Ruseel County, where I taught for 4 years.
