Hello, my name is Carrie Heard. I am currently entering my 18th year of teaching. I think sometimes my years run together. I am a native of Lee County as I graduated from Beauregard High School. Upon graduation, I received a full basketball scholarship to Chipola Junior College in Marianna, FL. While there I completed two degrees. An Associate in Arts and an Associate in Science. From there, I again received another full basketball scholarship to Auburn University of Montgomery. There I finished my degree in Secondary Physical Education. From there, I entered Troy University and Completed a Master's degree in Sport and Fitness Management. I have completed my degree at Capella University for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management. 

I am married and have been for 12 years. I have two beautiful children. My daughter, Adalynn, is 13 years old and entering 7th grade. And I have a son, Adrian, who is 11 years old and entering 5th grade. We have 2 dogs, a German Rotti and a teacup yorkie. His name is Chewie. And recently I went outside the box and added a kitten at our children's request. His name is Luwey.

I love my job, I love my kids (students), and I am excited about meeting new faces.
