Education

I attended Russell County High School from 9th-11th grade. I continued my education at Port St. Joe High School in Florida, where I later graduated.

I am a graduate of Troy State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.

I completed 3 + years towards my Doctorate Degree, but I did not finish my dissertation because of a family crisis.  

I was awarded the National Board Certification Scholarship in the spring of 2024. 

• I am a member of the First Assembly of God in Phenix City, AL.
• I have two teenagers. Their names are Payton, who is 22 (student at Troy University in Troy, Alabama) and Katie-Jo, who is 19 years old (student at Columbus State). 
• MY Michael is my heaven-sent husband. We were recently married (June 10th, 2017).
• I now have a son-in-law, Luv Amin. My daughter Payton got married to Luv in July 2023.
• I also have two cats (Marmalade and Alice).
• I have a wonderful sweet black dog named BEAU.

• I am a War-Eagle fan, but enjoy Alabama's company.
• I love being outside fishing, paddleboarding, playing in the woods. 
• I love to exercise. In the past, I enjoyed playing coed/ women's softball. I enjoy riding bikes.
• I love the outdoors (somewhat) but I am terrified of snakes. ewwww!
• My favorite color is GLITTER.
• My musical talent is playing the banjo.
• I love DIET 7up, Calloway Blue water, almonds, Kosher Dill pickles, Dirty Wickle pickles, and Chester's Hot Cheese fries.
