Hello!  My name is Monica McMiller and I will be your child’s teacher.  I am looking forward to getting to know my students and starting an exciting year! This will be my 11th year of teaching at South Smiths Station Elementary and my 22nd year teaching little people overall!

I am a graduate of the Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and the University of West Alabama.   I have two sons that are 22 and 16 years old. I have three energetic fur babies that I love affectionately. 

When time permits, I enjoy cooking, trying new foods, reading, writing, listening to music, traveling and college football!  I often integrate my passion within my classroom, operating under the idea that you can always learn something new in every situation! I am eagerly awaiting your arrival, and I am truly excited about meeting you! We are going to have a lot of fun and learn a lot of new things!
