Hello!  My name is Monica McMiller and I will be your child’s teacher.  I am looking forward to getting to know my students and starting an exciting year! This will be my 9^h year of teaching  at South Smiths Station Elementary and my 20^th year teaching little people overall!

I am a graduate of Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, the University of West Alabama.  I  am married and I have two sons that are 21 and 15 years old. Both of my sons are avid athletes, so any given day you can catch me cheering it up and or supporting their teams! 

When time permits, I enjoy cooking, reading, writing, listening to music, traveling and college football. I often integrate my passion within my classroom operating under the idea that you can always learn something new in every situation! I am eagerly awaiting your arrival and is truly excited about meeting you! We are going to have a lot fun and learn a lot of new things!
