Hello, My name is Maria Moore. I am from Columbus, Georgia. I moved to Alabama in 1996. I have been married for close to 30 years and have a daughter and two sons. My daughter, Kayla, and my oldest son, Tyler, graduated from Smiths Station High School. My youngest son, Lane, is currently a senior at Smiths Station High School. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and baking.

 

I have taught at South for the last thirteen years. I have taught kindergarten, 5^th grade, and 6^th grade.  My goal this year is to reach every student, so they will show academic growth at the end of the school year.

 

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master's of Science in Elementary Education from Troy University.
