Hello, I am Mrs. Singletary a 1st grade teacher at South. This is my 13th year teaching 1st grade at South and I absolutely love it! I have worked in grades K-6, I am a Highly Qualified Teacher, AMSTI trained, LETRS certified, and ARI trained.

I was raised in Smiths Station and attended Smiths Station schools from K-12 grades. After I graduated, I attended Southern Union in Wadley on a Fine Arts scholarship as a member of their dance program. While attending Southern Union, I obtained my associate’s degree. I then transferred to the wonderful Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!). While attending Auburn, I was a member of the Auburn University Tiger Paws. I absolutely loved every minute of dancing at Auburn. While attending Auburn, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Finally, I attended the University of West Alabama in order to obtain my master's degree in Elementary Education. 

I married my best friend, Nicky in 2011. Right after we were married, we welcomed our fur child, Tucker, to the family. A few years later, in 2014, we had our first child, Nolan. Then, in 2019, we welcomed our second child, Norah. I have a big family and love spending time with them! I have 1 brother and 5 step-brothers. Each of them have given me the wonderful title "Aunt". I have 6 nephews and 7 nieces that make holidays very entertaining! 

I am looking forward to another great year here at South!
