I have been teaching at Smiths Station High School since 2008 and look forward to many more years.  I am married to my best friend, Doug, and we have two children, Emma and Jack.  I earned my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Secondary Mathematics Education from Auburn University.  I earned my Master's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education through the University of West Alabama. I always wanted to help people and I chose mathematics because I knew many people struggled with it. I LOVE teaching math and computer science. I believe math is elegant and the key to logical reasoning and the sciences (which I also love). Computer science is instrumental in how everything is changing in today's world!

• Graph paper
• Algebra 2 - scientific calculator (the same one you have used in earlier math courses should be fine)
• Calculus - You do not have to purchase a graphing calculator. I have them available for use during class and we will discuss recommendations.
