    Kindergarten / New Student Registration

    All parents will need to visit their local school to begin the registration process during the Kindergarten registration window. Please check with your local school for dates and times. To be enrolled in Kindergarten, a child must be five (5) years old on or before September 2nd of the school year for which they are enrolling.  To be enrolled in First Grade, a child must be six (6) years old on or before December 31st of the school year for which they are enrolling.

    The Alabama State Department of Education requires several things for a child to be officially enrolled in kindergarten.  You will need to have all of the following:

    1. Birth Certificate
    2. Social Security Card
    3. Alabama Certificate of Immunization (with valid expiration date) This form MUST be generated from the Alabama ImmPrint State Database. If you child is 5 years old at the time of registration, all immunizations MUST be up to date.
    4. Two (2) proofs of address. Examples include one current utility bill (power, water, gas, cable, or phone), plus one property tax record, apartment/home lease, or mortgage. A driver's license CANNOT be used as proof of address.
    5. Three (3) emergency contact persons other than parents with valid phone numbers. We ask that numbers be updated when changes occur so parents/guardians can always be contacted.
    6. Parent's driver's license or picture ID. Also, please be prepared to bring any Custody or Guardianship papers if appropriate.

    All items must be completed before a student will be enrolled and assigned a teacher for the upcoming school year. We look forward to seeing you at registration!
