Students Win "Restaurant Rescue" Competition

Mrs. McGinnis’ 7th grade Project Based Learning class recently completed a "Restaurant Rescue" project. The students revised a menu, calculated profit and loss, calculated volume and square footage, and selected the best bank deal for a building expansion. All groups presented their projects, and three finalist groups were chosen.

Today, the three finalist groups  presented their projects to local business owner Sarah  Gill, who evaluated the presentations, asked questions and chose a winning team.  The winners each received a $25 gift certificate to Mama Mocha’s, Gill’s business.
