Bus Drivers Needed

The Lee County Board of Education is seeking bus drivers

Requirements:

  • Be insurable
  • Attend a local free driver-training course for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Attend a State class for 12 hours
  • Pursue a Class B CDL license with P and S endorsements and have a CDL Learner's Permit from the Department of Public Safety
  • Complete and pass a physical exam
  • Submit to a background check/fingerprint and drug screening process.
  • There is a cost for the background check/fingerprint of $55, $43.50 for Class B CDL with P & S endorsements, and $23.50 for CDL Learner's Permit.
  • All driver training classes are free of charge.
  • **Fees may vary**

Employment Benefits Include:

  • Salary range is $13,628.00 to $17,062.00 per year
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield major medical insurance
  • Earn nine (9) sick days per year from September to May
  • Earn five (5) personal days per year
  • Participation in the State of Alabama Retirement Plan
