The Alabama State Department of Education recognizes schools for the Legislative School Performance Recognition Program each year. The Legislative School Performance Recognition Program is designed to identify schools in one of two categories:
- Schools that demonstrate high performance by being ranked in the top 25 percent of public schools, as ranked in the school grading system.
- Schools that demonstrate exemplary progress by improving the overall annual ranking of the school by at least one letter grade, as ranked in the school grading system.
The top 25 schools in each category are honored and provided with a monetary award.
Beulah Elementary School and Sanford Middle School were recognized today as a Legislative School Performance Recognition Program School because they increased over ten points and a letter grade on the state report card for the 2024-2025 school year!
